Whilst assistant to Karl Grusmark Michael owned several of his own horses until 2003. To date Michael has trained 35 winners, & placed 55 - A good strike-rate from a small number of horses. Michael has had the best possible grounding to his career. Natural ability, hard work and a positive attitude & love for the sport has been the magic to his success. When expressing he wanted to train, Michael recalls Karl boosting his confidence by saying, "You have good instincts" ‘I am very positive for the 2012 season. Suffolk will open again for training in April and start racing in May.  I've raced in other states in the past and would like to carry on next year when Suffolk closes in November.  But for right now, the primary focus would be to gain owners who are interested in racing in Boston this spring.
